    Congratulations, Tracey! 🙂
And thanks for the contest, Karin. It was a blast!

  10. Heather W

There were six finalists? I thought there were to be only five. It’s been a while so I might be confused. (Happens a lot. 🙂

  11. Karin

Yep there was supposed to be five, but then there were six. My spam filter (of a new addy, which still eats legit mail) ate one of the finalists’ submissions. It looked as if she hadn’t gotten her 10 pages to me in time, so I took the next entrant and gave her the opportunity. I was contacted by the original finalist that she had indeed sent her pages. I went searching and there it was. I explained to Lauren what had happened and asked if she would look at six. Graciously she said, “Of course!”

  12. Heather W

Oh, those spam filters. I have such trouble with mine too!

I feel bad I forgot to say… Congrats Tracey!

  13. Cece

    Congratulations everyone!!!!! 🙂

Hey can Tracey repost her line so we know which one it was?

  14. Tracey

    Cece – My lines were

The alley stretched ahead, dark and ominous…yet Antoinette moved forward, one deliberate step after another. Perspiration beading on her upper lip, she ran a hand across her face to wipe it away before the saltiness slipped unwelcome to the corners of her mouth.

    Damn this heat.

Sweat trickled down her back, robbing her of more precious moisture and she tugged the damp t-shirt away from her sticky skin. “Found it yet?” Nici’s voice buzzed through the comms headset attached to her ear.

    “No,” she whispered.

“Intel just in has him entering a nightclub on the other side of town about twenty minutes ago,” Nici said.

After following his trail across three states, she’d hate to lose it now.

“We’re running out of time,” she said looking up at the dark starless sky, or at least the strip of it she could see between the impoverished Liberty City buildings.

  15. Jake

Congratulations to everyone! And to Tracey – it must be exciting being asked for the full ms.

Karin Tabke – Super Agent to the Stars!

  16. Cece

Awesome! Tracey my old brain thanks you 😉
