Sundance finally came back! I enjoyed Chris and one other guy whose name escapes me. Sanjaya is out. I will be very surprised if he makes it another week and the other guy, crap can’t remember his name, but he did ho-hum. He said next week he would do better. Guess what? He isn’t going to have next week to do better. Carpe diem. Seize the day! What don’t these people not understand? You only have one shot to make the best impression. If you make to the next round then you have another one shot.

Interestingly enough, I did not get reasons this week from my judge on how hard it was to chose, but how much she loved certain entries. So without further adieu, here are the 35 entries that make it to net round!

He shot a glance at the bottle-dyed blonde, who stretched like a contented cat. Good thing he was immortal, or she would’ve killed him with her sexual appetite. But, he’d given her just… Read more »
I must admit, the ones who got the ax deserved it, but what I can’t understand is how the hell Antonella hung in there, and also how she hasn’t been banned with those racy photos surfacing. As I said the other day, I’m clueless about how some of them managed to get to The stage… Read more »
The First Lines are now six lines and taking shape into stories. Idol had its first On Stage show last night, of which I was only able to watch part of. Reason being I was on the phone with Gf’s all afternoon and into the night. Yesterday there were a flurry of emails between myself and my agent (all very exiting). I worked on deepening the world I’m building for my Legends series. In general, my adrenaline level yesterday shot up with one email in the morning and didn’t begin to settle until around 10:30 last night. I could barely… Read more »
The field is narrowed and now it’s coming down to subtleties. Now, before you go search for your entry please read what this week’s judge had to say regarding her task. At first I was only going to post the sweet praise lines. Why? Because, well, quite frankly I didn’t want anyone to get their feelings hurt. But here’s the reality of this contest and the publishing business in general. Honesty is the best policy. When I first ran my first First Line Contest last year it occurred to me as it did to many others who participated and followed… Read more »
