AI guys

Sundance finally came back! I enjoyed Chris and one other guy whose name escapes me. Sanjaya is out. I will be very surprised if he makes it another week and the other guy, crap can’t remember his name, but he did ho-hum. He said next week he would do better. Guess what? He isn’t going to have next week to do better. Carpe diem. Seize the day! What don’t these people not understand? You only have one shot to make the best impression. If you make to the next round then you have another one shot.

Is no one listening to Simon? Is everyone so afraid? So they play it safe? Geez, I’m about ready hurt one of those guys. I was happy to see Sundance ‘get it.’ He went for it and it paid off. And personally I thought there were only about three guys who showed actual talent and control of their voices. It will be interesting when they have to start singing specific songs.

The ladies are a different animal all together. They rock, they have presence, and they are not afraid to lay it on the line. I’m looking forward to being entertained by them this week.

So, which guys do you think are out this week? My vote is Sanjay and that one guy…see? I can’t remember his name, only that he wasn’t memorable. But anyway, him.

  1. LaDonna

Karin, I’m with you on Sanjay. He’s history! And Sundance rocked! YAY! I don’t understand the, “I’ll bring it next time,” mentalilty either. Sheesh, it’s one shot each week like you said. SIMPLE people! Kinda like your contest, eh?

I watch faithfully two tv shows (beyond reality) and unfortunately one is during Idol Tuesday. But I did get to see all the performances, but not all the critiques. I am in total agreement Sanjaye is toast, but I am on the fence about the other, it could be Brandon, whose Time after Time fell into a black hole, or Nicholas Pedro.

  3. Sharon

I’m a faithful AI watcher. Unfortunately, I had to work last night so I missed the guys. Again. But I have to say that over all this season doesn’t rock nearly as much as last season. I just don’t think most of the contestants are as good.

Of course that won’t stop me from watching. 🙂

Sharon, as I was brushing my teeth this a.m. I thought the same thing. I mean last year us girls were gushing about Ace and how awesome Chris was and Taylor too. We thought Kelli Pickler was adorable and were back and forth about Katharine and her lack of personality but all agreed she could sing. We fell in love with Elliot after the vignette about him and his mom. This year? Meh.
In the men’s corner, the only two who stand out to me with personality and voice is Chris and Sundance. Maybe Beat Box Boy.
The girls? Well, most of them.
I’m really anxious to hear them tonight. I want to see more personality shine through. I want to pick my winner. Although, my money is still on Lakisha.

  5. Lynette Curtis

You just mentioned my three favorites. Curly hair, beat box guy, and Sundance. Like Simon always says who are the people going to remember the next day. Those are the only performances that I remember last night.
