Chuggin’ Along!

Wedding plans are coming together, and the best part? I don’t look like a heffer in my dress! I still have dozens of little details to tie up but my daughter and I have divied up the list and are marching ahead to conquer. But I gotta tell, ya, I don’t get some folks. Does RSVP by September 22nd mean RSVP by September 27th? I had a flood of late RSVP’s show up after I had sent out the second round of invites. The invites went with a SASE! How hard is it to write your name, check off what you want to eat, lick the damn envelope then pop it in the mailbox? A great mystery no doubt.

And why would anyone return a blank RSVP card? We received two. I have no idea who they came from. And why do people send wedding gifts with no card or any other indication whatsoever who it’s from? I’m not a freakin’ mind reader! LOL the gift probably came from one of the persons who sent the blank RSVP. My living room is beginning to resemble a warehouse. Each day another box arrives. Time for the kids to get another storage space.

Why do people who are involved in the actual wedding party suddenly get selfish and stupid? Why does everyone forget this occasion isn’t about them but the bride and groom?

Ok, so those are my wedding bell blues. Not too bad, huh? All things considered, all is well, and frankly, I’m even more dug in with, “Let the shit fall where it may, I’m wearing a hazmat suit!” Hey, I like that, I just made it up. 😎

So, other than the writing and the wedding not much else going on. But quite frankly, that is more than enough for me right now. How about you? Anything exciting?

Karin, I feel your pain. I don’t understand people like that either. Good luck on matching it all up!

And I’m liking your hazmat suit. 😆

  2. Karin

Edie, I like the hazmat suit too.

Kathy! Your cornea scraped? Is that a good thing? And I love that you are are charged up about your wip!

🙂 and for what it’s worth? When I’m not writing, my life mildly blows!

Oh, I didn’t sign the RSVP? Drat it all to hell, I’m really slipping. 😉

It’s anyone’s guess why people are so utterly stupid when it comes to RSVP’s. I think people take others for granted way too often. (those mothers!)

I’m super-charged with my WIP, and the only excitement in my future is having my cornea scraped in a couple of weeks. Other than that, my life mildly blows.

    Yay, on the YA, Amanda!!!!

LaD, I just got off the phone with my bro’ who my sons cannot wait to party with. I laid down the law. sigh. I am so screwed!

Manners have just fallen by the roadside. These days I don’t think people know what RSVP means.

Very excited about my WIP too. Working on a YA Time Travel.

    Hey Karin, it’ll go smooth I bet. I don’t get the late RSVP’s either. It’s a mystery.

Hey, hope you don’t have an inebriated BIL pass out in your hotel suite during your daughter’s reception. Yep, not a warm and fuzzy memory. We let him stay where he fell, the sofa. Hubby and I were not happy. 👿 We told him to book a room, but did he listen?

I’m about to fly to Maine… Thank God I got the last aisle seat so I’m not stuck between two people b/w now and NY. What about people who RSVP and don’t show up for no good reason? Hopefully it won’t happen but by then you’ll be dancing and drinking and hanging with friends and family and so happy the wedding went off so well!

Hey, Virna, have a safe flight! I’ll miss you this Sat. 🙁

And those who don’t show? I’ll send them a damn bill!

We found out who one of the blank RSVP cards belonged to! The other? I hope it was a regret, coz there isn’t going to be room at the inn.

    Have fun in Maine!

Karin, you don’t even know just how screwed you truly are. But, we did come up with a great way to make some money :). Yeah – your screwed.

    But we love you :)!!!!!

Karin, the cornea scraping is good and bad. Good because it’ll remove the calcium build-up, which is a bad thing. Bad because I won’t be allowed to use the computer for two weeks afterward.
