Okay! Feeling Better!
November 14th, 2008

Karin is happy again!  Karin is writing like a mad woman!  And Karin just wrote a smokin’ hot love scene!  Finally, the hero and heroine are together!

Okay, I’ll stop referring to myself in the third person.  But, I am vera happy.  I spent a very busy day outside of the office and though I should have been writing I knew I had to get out.  So, my mil and I and the lady’s group we belong to had our monthly luncheon today, and as I do every time, I say, no to the wine then have a glass. I can drink wine all night long, but if I have a glass during the day, I can’t write.  I came home and tried to write but took a nap instead (hey! I was up ’til three this a.m. writing and up too early). Theeeennn, my mil picked me up again, and we met her sister and my youngest daughter at a new restaurant in town for dinner.  It wasn’t bad, but the service was sloooooooooooow, which wasn’t a problem ’cause were chatting like school girls. Then off we all went to a local coffee shop my son-in-law’s cousin just opened and sat around drinking lattes and cappuccinos for the next two hours.

Came home to all of the guys here at the house, visited some more and now, here I am at the computer catching up.  I had 238 emails!  And none were spam!

I wanted to let y’all know Edie is guest blogging at Murder She Writes Friday (today for most of you), and next week I have a few announcements to make and a few friends and their endeavors to share.  So, off I go to wrap up CRAVING!  I wrote almost 9K words yesterday!  And they didn’t suck!!!

Oh, and just in case you didn’t know, HAVE YOURSELF A NAUGHTY LITTLE SANTA is not only available at a bookstore near you, but!  It will make a great stocking stuffer!

    Karin – You wrote 9 K?

Did your computer catch fire and explode? That’s computer abuse, no question. Even for a computer that’s on all day, those are sweatshop hours!

I hope it wasn’t all one long sex scene – it would be like that Cialis commercial that says if it goes on for for hours, see a doctor.

Sheesh, you put me to shame. Back to work. I’m inspired, now, baby!

So glad that Karin is feeling better. Oh yeah and that refering to yourself in third person kind of creeped me out LOL. You rock girl!!!!!

Yep, Jake, 9K words. I was pretty amazed. But more so that they weren’t complete rubbish. Once in awhile I get on a writing jag that just flies, and that was one of them. I’m hoping for another one today!

    Yep, Edie, 9K.

Mary, I’m glad I’m feeling better too!

OMG! Congrats on feeling better. Writing 9k that’s got to be a record. Can’t wait for the announcements.

Actually, Holly, the record is about 11K. I can’t remember which book it was, but I had it outlined and I just ran through each scene like nobody’s bizness.

That’s what I’m doing with CRAVING, I have the last third of the book roughly outlined and it’s just been flowing. Only have about 12K more to write, then it’s on to layering and polishing. That will take some time…

Hey Karin, you go girl! So happy you’re flying too. Love when that happens. And your visit with your mil and friends sounds so fun. 🙂

9K, gracious I am worried about your computer, it thinks you need a mani now (but if it offers push for a pedi too.) 9 K I’m boggled. And I am totally with you, a glass of wine in the day wipes me out.

I wrote a piddling little 2+ K today. But it still feels good.

I’ll see if I can do better with the wine. 😉

That’s funny! I came over here because I KNEW you had a Christmas book and wanted to get it for my sister. LOL. THEN I read your post.
    Awesome word count, Karin!!!

Sounds like a wonderful day to me Karin! All that food and drinking and great company. Fabulous!!! And 9K words??!!?? I’m not a writer so I can’t even fathom doing that much. Great for you! I am sure that Craving will come together beautifully.

I’ve got my copy of Torment and will be starting it this week. I’ll let you know when the review will be up.

Hey, Amanda, I emailed you that restaurant!

Cele, the computer is holding up, my back is not.

Jake 2K + is not piddling. How’s the book coming along overall?
