Merry Christmas!
December 25th, 2009

Hubby wrote a poem, sing to the tune of Jingle Bells!   Oh, and we managed to get a picture of Santa’s littlest helper!

Getting published is a goal.

Like a hard working little mole

We type and write and theme and scheme

And with much pride we beam

A complete work to submit

Got read by a half-wit

Not accepted we throw a fit

New York doesn’t know shit, OH!

Writer spells, writer spells

Working all the day

Plots that thicken, nothing like Dickens

We don’t care anyway, Oh!

Writer spells, writer spells

Working all the day

Plots that thicken, nothing like Dickens

We don’t care anyway

A month or two ago

At conference I took a shot

I pitched my work you know

She said it wasn’t hot

I’m wondering aloud

How to make this story cook

Published I’d be so proud

Gotta finish this damn book, OH!

Writer spells, writer spells

Working all the day

Plots that thicken, nothing like Dickens

We don’t care anyway, OH!

Writer spells, writer spells

Working all the day

Plots that thicken, nothing like Dickens

We don’t care anyway…

Santa's Helper
See you next year!!

Now that tune’s in my head with some real catchy lyrics, and what a cute grandbaby! Congratulations to the Tabke family!

Oh my! Hubby missed his calling.

Baby Gia (can’t remember the name) is a beauty.

We spent Christmas with my three grandchildren and it was a blast.

My favorite present was from my whole family. It was a box with “Official Book Signing Pen” on the outside and when you open it, there’s a silver pen with Liz Lipperman, Mystery Writer engraved.

Yeah! It’s starting to feel real.

    Merry Christmas, TAbkes.

LOL, Thanks to both of you for the song. =o)

Like I keep telling my own Hubby, I already had the best gifts of all – him and Daughter and our furry gray monster. Still, the best gift under the tree was… don’t laugh… a griddle. Now I can make pancakes just like my mother did when I was a child.

What was your favorite gift this year, Karin? (I mean besides that gorgeous grand-baby.)

Oh, she’s gorgeous! Absolutely beautiful, and such a sweet face.

    Hub, what can I say?

You continue to rise to the challenge, scaling even more dizzying heights! As lauded as Karin may be as the writer of sexy cops and hot romance, I can well see the day when, addressing a bank of microphones and held-up cell phone cameras, she will step to the microphone and declare, “I’m the woman who accompanied Hubby to the RWA Conference!”

Susan, hubby is a wonderful writer. He just lacks the discipline to keep his ass in the chair and his fingers on the keyboard for more than ten minutes!
