National Weed Day!

Who knew?  The only reason I know this is because we’re going to a wedding tonight of all nights because it is 4/20, National Weed Day, which is the day the bride and groom wish to celebrate their wedding anniversary.  Hey, to each his own.  I think it’s great they stayed true to themselves. I’m going to drag hubby along.  He’s not happy with me.  He’s still on regular pain meds and well, they don’t make him feel so good.  If the wedding wasn’t family we’d stay home.

Anyhoo, I think it’s going to be a fun time.  I’m wearing an orange and white tie-dye maxi dress, all I need is a floppy hat, but it’s cold and rainy today so I’ll tone it down with a wrap.

So this brings me to my question what is the wackiest wedding you’ve ever attended?  My youngest daughter went to a Halloween wedding at a haunted hours in San Francisco a few years ago.  She said it was a blast.

Too funny that it was important for them to get married on National Weed Day. Not the most romantic day, but they have a sense of humor. Your outfit sounds terrific! I hope someone takes a photo of you.

If hubby is in pain, maybe he can ask the bride and groom if they have anything to help him through it. 🙂

I’m sorry your hubby is not feeling well. Here’s wishing a speedy recovery. Isn’t it legal in your state for medicinal marijuana?

Sorry to say I haven’t been to any unusual weddings.

So did you guys come home with a case of the munchies? *grin*

Hope your husbnad is feeling better soon!

DD’s 2nd wedding wasn’t wacky as much as “casual” — in the back yard of her Maine home, where the reception started before the ceremony. Bride was barefoot.

When my brother got married, a department store mannequin was the maid of honor (the ‘live’ one was stuck in a snowstorm and couldn’t get out of the airport).

I don’t remember any wacky weddings I’ve been to. There was one where the bride and maid of honor did this whole dance routine, but they were pretty good.

LOL, I thought National Weed Day had something to do with dandelions and crab grass – not the other kind of grass. =oO

A college friend used one of the Songs of Solomon (the one with ‘my love is like the deer’) as her reading. And had 2 other friends from the drama department actually act out the chapter. We were all under the assumption they were just going to read, maybe even a dramatic reading but no, they come up with dialogue and sets and costumes and acted it out.

Edie, I ended up leaving hubby at home!

Holly, he’s much better today. He even drove himself to the physical therapist.

Donna, no we did not come home with a case of the munchies. For a weed day wedding it was pretty traditional. The groom looked really handsome! and hubby is feeling better!

I love the mannequin as a stand in maid of honor!

Beth I would have loved to see the dance routine! I think that kind of stuff is priceless.

Kristi, I love the Songs of Solomon. I bet that was something to see.
